Mari Swimwear

Care Instructions

Keep your Mari pieces looking beautiful for longer with proper care.

General Care

  • Always rinse your swimwear in cold fresh water immediately after swimming, especially after exposure to salt water, chlorine, or sunscreen.
  • Hand wash in cold water with a gentle, pH-neutral detergent. Avoid harsh soaps or washing powders.
  • Never use bleach, fabric softener, or stain removers.
  • Lay flat to dry in the shade. Avoid wringing or twisting the fabric.
  • Do not iron swimwear. The heat can damage the elastane fibres.
  • Never tumble dry. The heat will break down the stretch and shorten the life of your swimwear.

Fabric-Specific Care

Polyamide & Elastane

Our standard swimwear blend. Machine washable on a cold, gentle cycle in a mesh laundry bag if hand washing isn't possible.

Recycled Fabrics (ECONYL)

Treated the same as regular polyamide. ECONYL yarn is just as durable and maintains its shape and colour through proper care.

Linen

Our cover-ups can be machine washed cold and tumble dried on low. Iron on medium heat while slightly damp for best results.

Extending the Life of Your Swimwear

  • Apply sunscreen and let it absorb fully before putting on your swimwear. Some sunscreens can stain or discolour fabrics.
  • Rotate between multiple swimsuits to allow elastic fibres to recover between wears.
  • Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight when drying — UV rays can fade colours over time.
  • Avoid sitting on rough surfaces. Hot tubs with high chlorine concentration can accelerate fabric degradation.
